Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Burneta is an inspiration to our company because she wasn't always a painter in soft pastel. Primarily working in wax and casting her work in bronze before Covid hit, after its onslaught, the cost of copper rose; many foundries shut down; it was harder to travel to a foundry to get work finished. The cost of having those beautiful sculptures cast in metal rose significantly.
Burneta, unwilling to let her creative energy stagnate, did an about-face and decided to try another medium. It has always been a myth that sculptors do not draw. They draw very well, and while planning the composition and posture of their sculpture, picture the finished product in 3D in their mind.

We are proud to present this online exhibition of the pastel work Burneta has accomplished in a short while - a time of paying her dues by taking classes, practicing, and entering shows in her "new" medium.

From Burneta..."My pastel paintings are mostly PleinAir paintings, painted outside. This is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy nature and observe our beautiful universe. This medium and method is so personal because when you see or purchase one of these paintings, I have now included you on my trip of discovery and you have become part of the process.

Some of the places I have been may remind you of another place or just maybe you traveled the same road that I did. I hope you enjoy my travels, or are reminded of a time you spent there too."   from the artist's website at Eagle Chief Studios
